Electronic Technician

This position will be responsible for completing tasks associated with fabrication, wiring, assembly and inventory management of product development projects as well as various other support projects. This includes electrical panels and system assembly for environmental and industrial VOC abatement equipment, component inspections and production equipment support.

The qualified candidate will have the potential to transition into a Field Service Technician, where they will troubleshoot, maintain and service a wide array of  mechanical and electrical systems.

Interesting Work In Your Field:

  • Kit and coordinate material flow for electrical panel and projects in queue
  • Fabricate and wire electrical panels to UL specs per electrical schematics and panel layout drawings
  • System assembly and wiring between panels and components used on equipment. This includes bending and installing conduit and seal-tite.
  • Perform component receiving inspections on incoming parts
  • Assist with electrical wiring, assembly testing, and other various tasks as needed for on-going projects
  • Inventory management for items used by the Electrical and Controls group
  • Housekeeping and workspace cleanliness after each day’s work

Your Skills Should Include:

Completion of 2 years of industrial electricity, electronics or related courses and 1-3 years previous experience desired.

  • Experience using MS Office including MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics and blueprints
  • Problem solving and organizational skills
  • Able to read measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
  • Able to safely use various power tools including drills, saws, die punch & grinders
  • Knowledge of UL/NEC codes desired
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to travel up to 25%
