As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll guide all technical aspects of our service group, performing preventative maintenance, testing, commissioning, repairs, and start-up services in the field. You’ll lead root cause analysis efforts, develop effective service procedures, and provide expert technical support to customers both on-site and remotely. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for field operations.
  • Develop and direct procedures for field service management, warranty tracking, root cause analysis, and configuration management.
  • Provide scheduling guidance to optimize resource allocation and timelines.
  • Build and maintain ongoing equipment maintenance contracts.
  • Deliver installation and maintenance services for equipment rental fleets, OEM customers, and project sites, fostering strong relationships with external contractors.
  • Create accurate cost estimates for service projects and maintenance contracts.
  • Oversee shop checkout and testing of equipment and materials prior to shipment.
  • Offer technical support to customers verbally and in writing.
  • Attend project review meetings and provide technical insights to the project team.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project/product managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Be available for on-call troubleshooting and customer support services.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in field troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment maintenance. Experience developing procedures and managing service projects is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and colleagues.
  • Organizational Abilities: Experience with scheduling, project cost estimation, and contract management.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% and provide on-call support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in rental fleet equipment, OEM systems, and maintenance contracts.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety practices.
