We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Lead Welder to join our 2nd shift production team. This position will focus on fielding production questions and ensure staff is able to continue working while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Act as a role model for safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Train and coach employees on safe work practices.
- Documentation & Production Habits: Set an example in maintaining proper documentation and following best practices in production processes.
- Fielding Questions: Provide on-the-spot support to production staff by addressing questions and resolving issues. Escalate questions to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Feedback & Collaboration: Offer candid feedback to the Supervisor regarding production schedules, plans, and challenges to help improve operations.
- Employee Training: Train employees in safety protocols, quality standards, and production processes for assigned areas. Mentor team members to improve their skills and performance.
- Team Support: Support department objectives and product line goals by monitoring team performance and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Production Reporting: Monitor daily production activities and provide accurate and timely reports to the Supervisor and other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in welding and assembling small components.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with production reporting systems and tools is a plus.
